In een wereld waar het alledaagse en het eeuwige versmelten, ontvouwt Eternity in an Hour zich als een zachte fluistering. Geïnspireerd door de openingsregels van William Blake’s Auguries of Innocence, weeft Eric Whitacre in zijn nieuwste werk een muzikaal fluweel van klank en stilte.

In Whitacres compositie Eternity in an Hour is elke noot een echo van de ziel, elke rust een blik op het onmetelijke. Het resultaat is een mikrokosmos van tijdloze schoonheid waar de oneindigheid zich nestelt in het hart van het moment.
