Western society would have remained unaware of Bulgarian choral music if it weren’t for a Swiss ethnomusicologist and a fortunate twist of fate. 

This unbelievably powerful, goosebump-inducing, almost unearthly vocal tradition spent many years as an undiscovered gem in a corner of the Balkans. But as anyone who has heard this choir live can tell you: the auditory landscape they conjure is one you will never forget!
