Dutch wind musicians are renowned world-wide for their creativity, innovative approach and virtuosity. In this brand-new series, the Nederlands Blazers Ensemble (NBE) provides a stage for the crème de la crème of Dutch wind players to bring their musical fantasies to life, with the full resources of the NBE at their disposal.

The series starts with none other than trumpetist and salsa star Maite Hontelé. Born and raised in the Netherlands, Hontelé grew up with the rich traditions of Dutch wind culture, but her heart was soon captured by the warm sounds of Latin-American music. This led to a spectacular career that saw her grow into one of the greatest stars in the world of salsa, beloved throughout South America. 

Together with NBE, Hontelé takes her audience on a journey that effortlessly navigates back and forth between Dutch fanfare and Cuban salsa. Expect an evening full of unbounded music, in which tradition and innovation blend in unexpected ways. It is an experience that lets you hear and feel the power of two musical worlds.
