The second concert of the series explores a musical world, from Bach to Shostakovich, that Pärt inherited. 

Compositions written “in memoriam” are as old as music itself, so that Pärt’s Da Pacem, composed to pay tribute to the victims of the Madrid bombings, fits into a long-standing tradition.
