Festival De Betovering

Each year during the Autumn Break, the international children’s art festival De Betovering takes place in The Hague. From October 25th till November 2nd, 2024, children up to 12 years old will be treated to some 300 performances and workshops at around 60 different locations.

The most enchanting children’s dance and theatre performances of both Dutch and international origin will be brought to The Hague for nine days of dazzling culture. Performances include theatre shows as well as dance, music, and film. Professional artists will guide workshops where children can try their hand at dance, music, filmmaking, painting, fashion, theatre, and much more. In a number of these workshops, participants will include a visit to a museum or gallery to look at the artwork there. Festival De Betovering is the result of a unique cooperation between a large number of cultural organizations in The Hague.

Food & drinks 

Feeling peckish during your visit to Festival De Betovering? Between 10:00 and 17:00 you are welcome at Brasserie Amare for a snack and drink. From 28 October you can also join us in the Stadskantine between 08:00 and 20:00. 

Accessibility

During Festival De Betovering, children sensitive to sensory input can wind down and relax in a specially created resting room. Ask about this facility after you arrive at Amare.

Amare is suitable for visitors with a mobility impairment. In addition to the escalators, there are several lifts in the building and the halls are wheelchair friendly.
