À Chloris bridges centuries of French vocal beauty. Rameau and Fauré blend seamlessly, from Edith Piaf to the singer Barbara, in the recognizable style of Holland Baroque. An ode to French vocal artistry and the newest generation of star sopranos. "S’il est vrai, Chloris, que tu m’aimes…"—French romance at its peak.

Programme

Rameau, Fauré, Piaf, and others
Arrangements by Judith and Tineke Steenbrink

The three young star sopranos Julie Roset, Camille Allérat, and Ana Vieira Leite meet Holland Baroque. Vocal stars with unparalleled flexibility and expressiveness. The trio is curious about a variety of genres, from Baroque to Romantic to chanson. A true vocal spectacle filled with French music.

Julie, Ana, and Camille met during their vocal studies at the Haute école de musique de Genève. All three, passionate about early music, especially Baroque, created the ensemble La Néréide, developing various programs for equal voices where they blend their three soprano voices in different tessituras as soloists, duets, or trios. With a desire for artistic discovery and interdisciplinarity, they collaborate with various musicians and ensembles on multiple programs.

After their first album dedicated to Luzzaschi's madrigals, they are currently preparing a second album to explore the finest pieces of French Baroque music, including the famous Miserere by Clérambault. This album will be released in the fall of 2025 by Alpha.

These three young singers place collaboration and the development of ambitious projects with other ensembles at the core of their shared artistic direction. This is exemplified by the “À Chloris” program with Holland Baroque. Julie, Camille, and Ana thus have the opportunity to explore all facets of their voices and the themes dear to them with some of the most talented musicians in today’s music world.
