Amare really shines bright as an opera theatre this season. For example, the Nederlandse Reisopers brings Strauss - Ariadne auf Naxos to the Danstheater. At Blauwbaards burcht of Opera Zuid we are taken on an intriguing journey full of mystery, passion and hidden secrets. The overwhelming music, in which the Hungarian composer Béla Bartók pulls out all the stops of the orchestra with a masterful hand, does the rest. Based on a Persian fairy tale, Italian grandmaster Giacomo Puccini lets you hear and feel how love conquers death in Turandot.
