19 September - 7 October 2024
Arts Forum
The graphic novel Searching for Peace - Jazzy & Bertha von Suttner is about Jazzy, Bertha von Suttner and The Hague as a city of Peace and Justice. The accompanying exposition presents this graphic novel and its characters.
Meet the characters from the graphic novel Op zoek naar Vrede (“In Search of Peace”) - Jazzy & Bertha von Suttner (65 pages, Uitgeverij Syndikaat): Jazzy and her friends in today's The Hague. And Martha and Friedrich from 19th century Europe, a time when militarism was still seen as a virtue. What do these characters have in common? And how do they search for inspiration to shape their idealism and identity?
The graphic novel will be published on 21 September, the International Day of Peace, and will be presented with a book presentation in Amare. The publication is part of the international project for peace education: "Vrede Verbeeld - Picturing Peace - Frieden vorgestellt" by Stichting Denkroutes.
This exhibition is part of International Day of Peace on 21 September in Amare.
