What would my life have looked like if I had been born here? “Do you want to find out?” – asked Stork.
Yes please! “You would have gone to school every morning, have played with other children in the afternoon, and have joined groups to do special activities. Like singing, playing musical instruments, doing sports. And from time to time there would be nothing to do, except to feel bored.” “Sounds wonderful, to feel bored! Just to stare out the window, snack on some tasty food, and feel bored. And then to complain about it to your mother!” 

From 12.30 on you can participate in workshops and programmes organised by Stagehuis Schilderswijk and De Vaillant theatre. The activities are in line with the children’s right: Every child has a right to rest and leisure. In its leisure time, a child needs to have the opportunity to play.

Little Amal arrives at 14.30, and will join you in listening to songs by city orchestra The Residents at De Vaillant theatre. After that we follow the Beatmobiel, dancing and walking, to Teniersplantsoen, where Little Amal will meet all the creative and sportive neighbourhood children (come watch and participate!). At the end of the afternoon we will wave Amal goodbye with a Syrian Tower concert at De Vaillant theatre. Come play with Amal! You are welcome!
