Celebrate the holidays with Amare

Amare's programming in December is all about Christmas. Whether you like jazz or classical, music or dance, vocal or instrumental, there is a perfect Christmas concert for everyone!

In the run-up to the holidays, Amare takes you on a real musical journey around the world. We descend into Renaissance Italy, musically brought to life by Capella de la Torre. The voices of APOLLO5 take us across the sea, to the English Christmas Carols tradition. As always, the German Baroque beckons in the form of Bach's masterpiece, Christmas Oratio, performed by Nederlands Kamerkoor and B'Rock Orchestra. With the Ciconia Consort, we stay in our familiar Holland where we celebrate the traditional holidays. Finally, Música Temprana takes us all the way to Latin America, where the warm sounds of the swinging Misa Criolla bring a festive mood to our Concertzaal on Christmas Day itself.

A look into the life of award-winning Botis Seva

Olivier Award-winnende hiphopkunstenaar Botis Seva gooit hoge ogen met zijn nieuwe voorstelling Until We Sleep, die onlangs in première ging. In een video-interview vertelt hij meer over deze voorstelling, zijn inspiratiebronnen en zijn jeugd.

Afrique en Cirque viert het Afrikaanse leven

Kalabanté’s Afrique en Cirque is een energieke show met een indrukwekkende combinatie van West-Afrikaanse cultuur en circus. Die bijzondere combi wordt gemaakt door Yamoussa Bangoura, de veelzijdige muzikant, danser, acrobaat, oprichter en leider van Kalabanté. “Onze show laat een ander Afrika zien.”
