Grupo Di Betico, the most emblematic band of traditional folkloric music from Aruba, is celebrating its 55th anniversary with an end of the year tour in the Netherlands. To Mark this milestone of over half a century of dedication to promoting the musical and cultural heritage of the island, solidifying their legacy as a symbol of Aruban music, this concert will be a special gala presentation in which the group is accompanied by a symphonic orchestra.

Grupo di Betico’s music is best described as an Aruban Folklore/Latin Fusion, and guarantees an evening to excite all your senses.

From its humble beginnings in 1959, when maestro Betico Croes returned to Aruba after completing his studies in the Netherlands, to the formation of Grupo Di Betico in 1968, the group has been a beacon of joy and celebration for the Aruban community. Over the years, the group has evolved and continued to thrive, even after the tragic passing of Betico in 1986, carrying on his legacy of dedication to the island's culture and folklore.

In the last fifteen years, Grupo Di Betico has been active year-round, expanding their reach beyond traditional year-end celebrations. The group has captivated audiences both locally and internationally with their infectious music and unmatched energy.

"We have come a long way from our humble beginnings, and we are incredibly excited to celebrate our 55th anniversary with the release of our new single Locura [in collaboration with the renowned Colombian singer-songwriter, Jerau]. This achievement is a testament to our continued commitment to the music and culture of Aruba, and we look forward to sharing our passion with the world," said a spokesperson.
