Adédèjì, the prodigy of Nigerian music, is greatest new discovery of the Afrobeat. Inspired by legends like Tony Allen and Fela Kuti, he brings a fresh combination of his African roots and American funk. His third and best album Yoruba Odyssey is an honorable reference to his Nigerian roots and is considered one of the most influential African releases of recent months.

Adédèjì started singing in church choir at the age of 6 and played guitar from the age of 13. He studied music at the University of Nigeria and later in London and the Netherlands. However, his work remains spontaneous and lively, untouched by academic rules and principles. For example, he brought Frank Zappa influences to Afrobeat and combined this with his unique Nigerian Yoruba Funk. This style earned him a nomination for Best Artist of 2023 by Songlines Magazine.
