Kayhan Kalhor, the kamancheh master, is one of Iran's most beloved artists and a true ambassador of traditional Iranian music. Renowned for his exhilarating improvisations, captivating compositions, and inspiring collaborations, he will be joined by setar virtuoso Kiya Tabassian, Tonbak virtuoso Hamin Honari, and Hadi Hosseini, a rising star among the new generation of Iranian vocalists. With their virtuosity and emotional expressiveness, these musicians pay tribute to the beauty and resilience of Iranian cultural traditions.

This concert is a cry for hope and freedom, inspired by one of the world’s most fascinating civilizations—Iran. While the refined gardens of Shiraz and mosaics of Isfahan have long defined its storied reputation, Iran’s cultural heritage—dating back several millennia—is also distinguished by its remarkable musical and poetic traditions, which have transcended the vicissitudes of history. A hymn to the richness and beauty of this culture, Songs of Hope features virtuoso musicians and bearers of its traditions. The sublime kamancheh master Kayhan Kalhor engages in a musical dialogue with Kiya Tabassian on the setar and Tonbak virtuoso Hamin Honari, while vocalist Hadi Hosseini sings in Persian, bringing this timeless tradition to life
