Het Residentie Bachkoor kent een jarenlange traditie van het uitvoeren van de Matthäus-Passion van Johann Sebastian Bach. Het werk zit de koorzangers in het DNA. 

Programme

Johann Sebastian Bach, Matthäus-Passion (BWV 244)

Dit seizoen voert het RBK het bekende en geliefde lijdensverhaal van Christus uit in de imposante concertzaal Amare. De Matthäus-Passion vertelt het verhaal van het verraad, de berechting en kruisiging van Jezus. De grootse muziek van Johann Sebastian Bach en de teksten van Picander verbeelden diepmenselijke gevoelens waarin ook de luisteraar van de twintigste eeuw zich kan herkennen. Deze menselijke kant maakt dat de Matthäus-Passion na drie eeuwen nog altijd relevant is. 

Dat moet je een keer meegemaakt hebben.
