The BIG BANG Festival returns! This international music festival is a festive ode to adventurous music and sound art for children, but of course everyone is more than welcome. During this vibrant festival, children from age 5 and up can discover music in all sorts of ways: through performances, participative activities, and much more. Children’s Music Week

The annual country-wide Children’s Music Week is an initiative by Stichting Kindermuziek to give children the experience both of making and listening to (live) music, and in that way to let new generations discover the value of music. Because music connects people, music makes you happy, and you can always make music! In this way the foundation aims to make society as a whole more joyful, more inclusive and more positive. Education has an important role to play in this.

The seventh edition of the Children’s music week will take place from 4 to 13 April 2025. The theme of this year’s edition is ‘dreams’. From dreamy music to music texts that make real what you can otherwise only dream about. Just like dreams, music transports you to other worlds. Across boundaries, beyond your power of imagination, or to places within yourself where you can discover familiar and unfamiliar feelings.

Infants, toddlers, pre-schoolers, children, parents, grandparents and teachers: come dream away to music, have your music dreams fulfilled, and dream the grandest dreams. The Children’s music week is here for all of you, all around the country!
